Putting Down the Stone

A tactile reflection for adults and young adults about the weight of resentment and the long work of forgiveness.

A careful introduction

Give each person a smooth stone to hold. Acknowledge that forgiveness does not excuse harm, erase consequences, or require an unsafe relationship to resume.

Read Colossians 3:12–14 slowly. Invite participants to consider what they have been carrying and, when ready, place the stone in a bowl as a private prayer.
